MIGRANTES EN TRANSITO

ABBA's works primarily with migrants who spend a brief amount of time in Celaya. Often times these are men traveling however in the last few months ABBA has seen a dramatic increase in families passing through. These individuals often come with very little other than the clothes on their backs. Many times their backpacks and other personal belonging have been stolen from them. They stay at the shelter for up to 72 hours and while they are there they are provided with basic necessities and given the opportunity connect with loved ones and to rest safely.

  • Food

  • showers

  • medical attention

  • places to sleep

  • new clothes (including shoes and bags)

  • phone calls to family
